Helping students find their voice

Little City Speech-Language Pathology partners with local schools in Bangor, Hermon, Old Town, Orono, Brewer, and surrounding areas to deliver high-quality speech and language services directly to students — helping them improve their communication skills and thrive in the classroom.

Supporting Schools

We contract with local school districts to provide on-site speech-language services for PreK, elementary, middle, and high school students.

Small & Targeted

As a local, small practice we keep caseloads focused and services personal — every student gets individualized goals and genuine attention.

Our team of three licensed speech-language pathologists brings master's-level training, ASHA certification, and Lindamood-Bell® experience to every session.

What Schools & Families Say

Little City has been a true partner, not a vendor. Their SLP is a familiar face in our building — the students light up when she walks in, and our IEP meetings have never run smoother.

Karen T.

Special Education Director, Area School District

After years of juggling rotating providers, having the same therapist all year has been a game changer. The quarterly progress reports keep our whole team on the same page.

Michael R.

Principal, Area Elementary School

Our son struggled with reading for two years before Little City. The one-on-one, in-person work made all the difference — he reads to his little sister now.

Jessica B.

Parent, Bangor

They coordinated everything with our school and we never saw a bill. Our daughter went from dreading reading group to raising her hand. We are so grateful.

Dan & Amy L.

Parents, Orono

The communication is outstanding. Therapy goals connect to what we do in the classroom, and I always know what to reinforce during the week.

Payment Made Simple

No insurance paperwork, no surprise bills — how payment works depends on how your student receives services.

Individual Therapy

We don't accept insurance of any kind for individual speech therapy. Instead, we keep it simple with three options: CDS (Maine's Child Development Services program for young children), MaineCare (Maine's Medicaid program), and private pay.

School-Based Services

One contract between your school and Little City Speech covers everything — parents never pay anything. We can even bill MaineCare on your school's behalf, so your district gets reimbursed directly.

Brewer

On-site speech-language services and evaluations for Brewer students, right across the river from home base.

Hermon

School partnerships and IEP support for Hermon students from PreK through high school.

Old Town

Direct therapy, early literacy, and evaluation services for Old Town area schools.

Orono

Speech, language, and literacy support for Orono students and school teams.
